Notes on how
the place works.

Short, plain explanations of the rules and features — written by the team, kept up to date.

01 Rules How merit points actually work Points are a record of how useful you have been to other students, not of how much you uploaded. +

When a moderator approves your note you receive a small number of points. Most points come later, from other students voting that the note helped them.

Votes are held for a short while before they count, so a burst of votes from a handful of friends can be checked and reversed. Points removed by a moderator after a report can be restored if your appeal is accepted.

Your level — Newbie, Contributor, Active Member, Verified Expert, Legend — follows your points automatically and appears next to your name in every room and on the register.

02 Trust Why a person checks every account Rooms only work if everyone in them is a student. So we look. +

When you sign up you upload a photo of your student ID card. A member of the team compares it with the university and enrolment number you entered, then approves or rejects the account.

The ID card image is only used for that check and is deleted automatically after the retention period. It is never shown to other students.

03 Exams Taking a proctored quiz: what to expect Quizzes are strict on purpose, so a good score means something. +

The timer runs on our server. It keeps going if you reload, lose connection or close the tab, and your answers are saved every few seconds.

The quiz runs full-screen. Copy, paste, right-click, printing and switching tabs are blocked or recorded. After the number of warnings your teacher set, the quiz submits itself.

Multiple-choice questions are marked straight away. Written answers are marked by your teacher or room moderator, and you will see their feedback with your result.

04 How-to Put Campus Connect on your phone It installs like an app, without an app store. +

On Android (Chrome): open the site, tap the Install banner — or the ⋮ menu → Install app.

On iPhone (Safari): tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

The app opens full-screen with its own icon, loads faster after the first visit, and shows a friendly page if you go offline.
